Port Byron School Board Candidate Bios

Christopher Recckio After graduating from college, I opened my business in Port Byron, Recckio's Body Shop, and have been in business for 36 years. I take pride in my business, my community, and the Port Byron Central School District.

I am seeking my fourth term on the School Board. It has been a pleasure to work with the Administration and the Superintendent to continue to expand the opportunities provided to our students. I am excited to watch the growth of the STEM programs and the new outdoor learning space being implemented. Port Byron gives students endless opportunities to learn and grow with up-to-date, hands-on equipment and new facilities. I would like to continue to be a part of such a successful Board of Education.

My wife, Dawn, and our three children are all alumni of Port Byron Central School. My children all had amazing opportunities at Port Byron that they were able to build on and use to continue their education and graduate with bachelor's degrees from college. I want each child at Port Byron to have the knowledge to access these opportunities. I will work hard to ensure that Port Byron continues to be a safe and successful school district.

    Todd Delaney
I am seeking my third term on the Port Byron Board of Education. I graduated from Port Byron in 1991—the last class to graduate from the old high school—and in 2016, my family and I moved into the village of Port Byron, just a short walk from campus. My wife, Katie, and I have two sons:
Thomas, now in seventh grade, and Ryan, currently in fifth grade.

After graduating from Port Byron, I earned a degree in International Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology. Since 2007, I have operated an accounting software consulting practice based in Auburn, NY.

During my time on the Board, I’ve been proud to witness continued community support—especially as we’ve consistently passed responsible budgets. I believe we have some of the best facilities in the area, and I’m excited about the progress we’ve made through the first phase of our capital project. I look forward to seeing the second phase completed, which will further enhance student opportunities.

If re-elected, I’ll continue to prioritize putting forward fiscally responsible budgets that support increased opportunities for our students—delivered by the district’s outstanding educators and staff. I remain committed to working with the Board, administration, and the community to ensure Port Byron continues to be a place we’re all proud to call home.
